Jaclyn Hill x Morphe Palette Eye look & Swatches

It’s nearly time for the third restock of the Jaclyn Hill x Morphe Palette launching on 22/08 8:00am PST or if you’re me 23/08 12:30am ACST.
I’ve been watching Jaclyn on youtube for about three years so when she announced her palette my initial reaction was ” I need this palette in my life”, even before she started showing sneak peaks.
On the most recent restock date I arrived home from work at 11:30pm and scrolled through my Instagram and saw Jaclyn had posted that it would be restocking soon. At first I was sceptical, I converted the American dollar to the Australian and thought was it worth the $84.33 AUD? including her discount code ‘JACATTACK’ I convinced myself it would be and i’d regret it if i didn’t do it, as of high demand I thought i’d miss out anyway. 20 minutes later watching the loading screen spin I received and email to say my payment was confirmed. YAY!

Just over a week later I got a message from my mum saying I had a package! The excitement kicked in and I was there as soon as I arrived home from work. My first impression was this is massive and that the palette looks way bigger in real life then on a phone or computer screen.

The palette contains matte, shimmer, duo chrome, foiled and pressed glitter shadows.
I finally got to swatch and have a play with the palette and it is by far my favourite eye shadow palette I own. Warm toned eyeshadows are right up my ally not to mention the formula and pigmentation of each eyeshadow pan. There’s only one word for this palette and it is AMAZING! Each eyeshadow I have used are easy to blend, feel like butter and have minimal fallout and so easy to use whether you’re a makeup artist or beginner it’s a versatile palette to suit everyone’s preferences.

The look below was achieved in approx 10 minutes. I used MAC fix plus with the lid shade to be even more extra even though the shade didn’t need it at all, it’s something I do with all shimmery eyeshadows no matter what or i’ll wet my brush with water before applying or even use my finger.

Transition- Butter
Crease- Mocha
Lid- Queen
Lower Lash line- Butter & Central Park
Eyebrow and inner corner highlight- Beam

Swatches- press the circles to see the names

Comment below your favourite shade or if you don’t have the palette, if you’re planning on purchasing or why not next restock 🙂
